Hole 2/11
The second/eleventh is a dog leg left of 255m. Big hitters may attempt to reach this green from the tee but beware the out of bounds area around the equipment shed if you fall short and the boundary fence and out of bounds behind the green. Most players will lay up to the base of the hill then play a short wedge to the green.
Hole 1
The first tee is beside the clubhouse on the eastern edge of the teeing area. The green is guarded by deep bunkers on both sides and tea trees behind protect the second tee. Pin placement can require a shot over the right side bunker.
Hole 3
The first time off this tee, a drive straight down the fairway may leave you with a glimpse of the flag on the third green between the mounds on the left. Along the left side of the undulating fairway is an out of bounds area. There is a fairway bunker on the right which can make your approach to the green more difficult. Care should be taken with the approach shot over the sand hills as on the left side is a steep drop to the out of bounds car park. Behind the green is another steep drop off and from the bottom a deft touch is required to get the ball back up without overshooting the green which slopes down to the front.
Hole 4
From the third green you walk past the twelfth green to the fourth tee. This tee is aligned slightly to the left so care should be taken with your line up. Some trees line the fairway and hillocks either side of the fairway at about 220m stop some longer drives. The green is tucked in beside a row of tall Norfolk pines which rarely give back a ball hit into their clutches. On the front right of the green is a shallow bunker and behind is a drop into bushes.
Hole 5/14
Trees on both sides of the fairway can slow down errant shots. If a drive is too close to the left side the Norfolk pines near the green restrict your approach angle and the bunker on the right narrows the opening to the green. The green slopes from back to front and has a drop off the back and an embankment before the out of bounds comes in to play.
Hole 6/15
The easiest hole on the course has banks on both sides of the green to impede low shots from wider angles. The green slopes deceptively from the back to front. The road behind the green is out of bounds.
Hole 9
Take the track through the trees to the road and head back towards the clubhouse to find the ninth tee. This is a straight forward hole with out of bounds on the left and trees and a drop off to the right. On the left side of the green is a bunker. A steep slope at the back can carry longer hits on to the path which is out of bounds. The practice green is also in the area so if your ball finishes inside the concrete border then it must be lifted and dropped in the marked drop zone.
Hole 7/16
The most difficult hole on the course is a long par 3 which terminates at a small green sloping significantly from back to front. Drives which stray to the right encounter a tall Norfolk pine and beyond that an embankment of long grass. On the left of the green is a shallow bunker and a large Norfolk pine which bring their own challenges to wayward drives. Behind the green is a tall embankment from which it is difficult hit a shot and stop it before it rolls off the front of the green.
Hole 10
This tee is west of the first tee and uses the first green. It brings the left side bunker into play depending on pin placement.
Hole 8
On leaving the seventh green, climb the track to the left which takes you to the elevated eighth tee. This is a relatively long par three with trees lining the left side and a bunker on the right of the green. First though, you have to negotiate the visual obstruction that is the tall Norfolk pine in front of the tee. On the right side of the green is a bunker and behind the green are many bushes.
Hole 12
This tee is the same as the third but the hole is straight ahead. The fairway slopes down to the green and shots which fall short of the green may gain momentum on the down slope and overshoot the green. Before the green on the right is a shallow fairway bunker. Behind the green is a drop then an embankment which stops most overshoots from going out of bounds. This green is larger than most and slopes down from right to left and back to front.
Hole 13
This tee is beside the fourth tee and aims straight down the fairway to the same green as the fourth.
Hole 18
Head back towards the clubhouse to find the eighteenth tee beside the road. The out of bounds along the road is much closer than on the ninth so care must be taken not to stray to the left. The green is the ninth as previously described.
Hole 17
From the sixteenth green take your buggy up the path to the right, leading to the elevated seventeenth tee. The tall Norfolk pine is now more to your right but the line of cypress trees is now in front. If your ball strays into the cypresses it is unlikely to be found on the ground. The green is the eighth as previously described.
